How to Get By Air to Bir Billing

Flying is frequently the most convenient alternative, especially if you’re traveling from far-off locations or overseas. At a distance of about 67 kilometers, Kangra Airport in Gaggal is the closest airport to Bir Billing. From there, you can get to Bir Billing via bus or cab. The Gaggal Airport, also called the Dharamshala Airport, is an additional choice; it is located around 72 kilometers distant. Both airports provide domestic flights between major Indian cities, enabling tourists to travel by air.

Via Road

Getting to Bir Billing via car is a popular option for people who like road trips or who are coming from nearby locations. The area has excellent access to the road system, and you may travel along beautiful roads that provide breath-taking vistas of the Himalayan scenery. There are well-maintained roads that lead to Bir Billing, whether you’re traveling there by car from neighboring towns like Dharamshala or Palampur or taking a road trip from larger cities like Chandigarh or Delhi.

Through Rail

Although Bir Billing itself lacks a train station, there are several nearby railheads that you can choose to travel to by train. The Pathankot Railway Station and Pathankot Cantt Railway Station, which are both about 140 kilometers away, are the nearest train stations to Bir Billing. From there, you can get to Bir Billing via bus or cab. Train aficionados have simple travel alternatives thanks to these railway stations’ excellent connections to India’s major cities.

Transportation within Bir Billing: Getting Around

Once at Bir Billing, traveling throughout the area is not too difficult. You can travel across the area at your own speed with the use of taxis, autorickshaws, and rental cars. To add an exciting touch to your tour, you may also hire bicycles or motorcycles to ride around Bir Billing on the picturesque trails and tiny roads.

Where Can I Stay in Billing or Bir?

There isn’t much in Billing, so don’t stay there. Remain in Bir. Chougan Village in Bir is home to the majority of locations, including homestays, upscale glamping resorts, and backpacker hostels.
